Khutso Mmethi is a young black African woman who is a Fine Arts diploma graduate. Now 32, Khutso is an artpreneur, art activist, mentor, poet, musician, designer and a multitalented and passionate individual, aiming to grow the culture of art in African society, especially in the townships and rural environments.

Khutso runs the company Kayfirm Collections, which she established in 2014 after years of struggling as an artist in Limpopo. Both the company and Khutso has grown through the years, with her regular attendance at workshops to enhance her skills and expand her network in the arts industry. Her work is inspired by African aesthetics and identity, and she works tirelessly to keep her society rooted and schooled in their origin as humans.

Kayfirm Collections offers services in furniture design, jewellery design, fashion design, set design, interior makeovers, art events organisation, mentorship to aspiring artists, music and performance, digital art, content creation, research, as well as services on the premises such as a restaurant, hair salon, art boutique and a car wash.

Khutso is passionate about inspiring young creative to see success in their artistic skills and embrace their craft within a career-orientated mindset. Kayfirm reimagines the ordinary, making art visible in everything they do.
