The BASA Debut Programme offers young emerging creatives (artpreneurs) skills, funding and training to make a profitable livelihood from their artistic talents.

It aims to contribute to the development and support of creative business ventures through capacity building, skills exchange and knowledge sharing.

The programme is partnered by the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture and is supported by Yoco.

Applicants (creatives) were required to send a short 1-minute video of themselves to us over WhatsApp.

Phase 1: Kickstarter

425 creatives were selected into the programme from all nine provinces. A total of 358 creatives participated in the WhatsApp online online workshops.
